Only thing was, i got hit by the things arm, and it disabled all movment for some reason, arrow keys didnt work but everthing else did =\ Anyway, cool game.

its an ok game, i played arrow key mode and ended up with -10 lives surly thats not right? you should fix that and resubmit.

I am still working on a new version which is flash 8 based. This version you saw here is older and was made with flash 7, therefore it did not have as much possibilities to improve on performance. Making a gta game in flash is a constant fight against flashs limits. Because a gta game does not only need the really cpu intensive stuff but also has the code running trough/on several objects of the city simulation. It might not look like it but when you play there are about 500 objects calculated already. Where 6 are cars 8+ civilians plus all particles and map and building things ect. There has to be hit testing done for bullets - cars - civilians - player - houses ... and the cars need to know where to drive to ect. There is a lot cpu intensive stuff going on even besides the map engine and 3d buildings.. just to have mentioned that.

its a nice simple game, and you probally spent a long time on it, i think you should make beter graphics though, and more enemies and stuff. XD

There will be more enemies, this was more so you knew what it would be like. As for the graphics thats the style and im stickin with it, but some of the bosses ive been designing are turning out pretty sharpish
